The 1983-1984 Houston Baptist Huskies put up some incredible numbers...

Defense: HBU led the nation in field goal defense (45%), and allowed the fewest points per game (57).

Offense: Houston Baptist led Division I in field goal percent (55%).

Admittedly, this was against TAAC conference (now Atlantic Sun) competition. And sure, Houston Baptist did lose badly to Alcorn State in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Still, they are excellent numbers. Right?
