Penn and Princeton played one of the greatest basketball games ever on February 9, 1999 in the Palestra in Philadelphia. The game had all of the following:
Princeton jumped out to a 3-0 lead.
Penn scored the next 29 points.
Score at halftime: Penn 33, Princeton 9.
In the second half, Princeton fell further behind 40-13.
At that point, Princeton began whittling away at the lead.
Princeton mounted a furious comeback to defeat Penn 50-49.
Princeton's comeback was the fourth largest comeback in Division I history.
